From November 23 to 24, 2019, Prof. Hang Xiong, together with two postgraduates Xiaohui Li and Chen Hu, attended the China Taobao Village Transformation and Development Forum held in Zhijiang, Hubei. This forum attracted more than 260 participants including scholars from 42 colleges in China and representatives of e-commerce entrepreneurs from 18 provinces and cities, to exchange their experiences and research on e-commerce in Taobao village and rural areas. In smart agriculture and e-commerce session, Prof. Hang Xiong gave a report entitled Research and Practice on Smart Agriculture and Agricultural Big Data, referring to the concept, objectives and policy support of smart agriculture, the key technologies of smart agriculture for farmland, the research direction of smart agriculture from the perspective of economic management, and the construction of agricultural big data platform, and had an extensive discussion with the participants.
