On the afternoon of November 1st, the 17th edition of the Computational Social Science Salon, organized by MARI in collaboration with relevant research institutes of Wuhan University and Huazhong University of Science and Technology, was held in M507 of the Humanities Building.
The salon exchanged four interdisciplinary studies with computer simulation as the main method. Jerry Zhanli Sun, researcher of IAMO Institute in Germany, Associate Professor Zhu Yueji from the School of Management of Hainan University, Associate Professor Tu Tao Tao, Associate Professor Wang Zhengcong and Dr Wang Qing from our School of Economics and Management as reviewers. The salon was attended by Ms He Juan and Ms Mao Haiou from the Department of Economics and interested teachers and students via online or offline formats. The salon was hosted by Professor Xiong Hang, Associate Dean of MARI.
Four MARI postgraduate students reported on their current research. Liu yuqi's research is on the adoption mechanism of farmers' technology based on carbon reduction policy, Shen Sili's research is on the decision-making mechanism of farmers' low-carbon production behaviour, Yang Xin's research is on the formation and transmission of the rural digital divide, and Yu Yawen's research is on the configuration of the "sky-land" integrated agricultural monitoring system as an entry point for optimization.
