In order to implement the spirit of the "14th Five-Year Plan" to improve the quality and safety of agricultural products, improve the scientific and authoritative work of the technical review and evaluation of the standards of the members of the Technical Committee on Fertilizer Standardization of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (hereinafter referred to as the Fertilizer Standardization Committee), and support the construction of the fertilizer standard system, the Fertilizer Standardization Committee organized an online and offline training and exchange activity.

On April 13, the Fertilizer Standardization Committee organized an online and offline training and exchange activity on standardization work. Dr. Tian Youguo and Dr. Zhao Yingjie, Director of the Fertilizer Quality Monitoring Division of the National Agricultural Technology Promotion Service Center, Senior Engineer Fan Zifeng of the Beijing Institute of Standardization, Associate Professor Li Fan of the College of Economics and Management and Macro Agricultural Research Institute of Huazhong Agricultural University, and all members of the Fertilizer Standard Committee attended the event.

At the meeting, Zhao Yingjie introduced the main purpose of the training and exchange activities of the standardization work and the main work of the Fertilizer Standardization Committee. Fan Zifeng gave a detailed explanation of the work of national standards, industry standards and local standards, including pre-study, project development, evaluation and submission for approval, which improved the knowledge and understanding of the members of the standardization committee on standard making and revision. Li Fan introduced the development and implementation of EU and US fertilizer laws and quality standards, the comparison of EU and US fertilizer standards in terms of nutrients, heavy metals, quality testing and labelling with China's fertilizer quality standards, and put forward suggestions for the development of China's fertilizer standard system.

Tian Youguo made a concluding speech on the event. He pointed out that only through the integration of multiple parties and extensive field research, grasp the current situation of fertiliser industry development, sort out the bottlenecks encountered, breakthrough innovation and accelerate the construction of China's fertiliser standard system, can we provide institutional guarantee for China's high-quality agricultural development.
