The 2nd International Symposium on Advanced Remote Sensing & 2023 Wuhan Remote Sensing Week was successfully held in Wuhan, Hubei Province, from October 13 to 15, hosted by the Hubei Provincial Department of Science and Technology and Wuhan University, and organized by the School of Remote Sensing and Information Engineering of Wuhan University, the State Key Laboratory of Surveying and Mapping and Remote Sensing Information Engineering, and the Leica Measurement Systems of Hexagon Group. With the theme of "Perceiving Heaven and Earth - Remote Viewing the Future", nearly 1,000 experts and scholars from home and abroad, enterprise colleagues, teachers and students from universities and colleges gathered in Wuhan to discuss the new theories and methods of remote sensing research, and to share the new advances and achievements of remote sensing industry applications.
Meng Ran, a professor a professor from the College of Resources and Environment and Macro Agricultural Research Institute of Huazhong Agricultural University, was invited to give an invited report on "Remote Sensing Monitoring and Diagnosis of Agricultural Situation by Unmanned Aerial Vehicles". Prof. Meng Ran with other famous experts and young scholars, focusing on the topics of sensors and data acquisition, remote sensing data processing and information extraction, theoretical methods and applications of remote sensing, discussing the frontiers of remote sensing and looking forward to the future development, contributing wisdom to the development of advanced remote sensing.
