From September 20 to 22, the Library and Information Branch of the Chinese Agricultural Society held the Symposium on Frontier Technologies and Knowledge Services in Library and Information Science in Changji City. The meeting focused on new theories, technologies, and methods in library and information science and knowledge services. It included in-depth discussions and exchanges on scientific and technological intelligence analysis and evaluation, trend analysis and technology foresight, data mining and integration governance, knowledge engineering and discovery, disciplinary knowledge services, library culture building, and service innovation. The symposium aimed to promote innovation in agricultural information technology and knowledge services.
Associate Professor Feng Zaiwen from the School of Information at Huazhong Agricultural University delivered a keynote speech titled “Exploration and Practice of Agricultural Knowledge Intelligence Service.” He introduced several original achievements, including using ontology technology to integrate and deeply mine agricultural databases, developing intelligent knowledge services using artificial intelligence to support precision fertilization and feeding, and enhancing agricultural GPT with knowledge graphs to empower biological breeding.
