On April 23, 2024, Professor Yi Hongmei from the College of Modern Agriculture at Peking University, serving as the chief project leader, convened a work promotion meeting for the 2023 Major Project of the National Social Science Fund titled “Research on the Stability Monitoring of Farmers' Income and Long-term Mechanism of Income Increase under the Strategy of Rural Revitalization.” A total of 22 participants attended the meeting, including Lu Chunsheng, Director of the Rural Revitalization Monitoring Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs; Luo Renfu, Professor at Peking University’s College of Modern Agriculture; Zhou Li, Professor from the College of Economics and Management at Nanjing Agricultural University and Tongji University; Xiong Hang, Vice President of the Macro Agricultural Research Institute and Professor at the College of Economics and Management at Huazhong Agricultural University; Qiu Tongwei, Professor at the College of Economics and Management at Nanjing Agricultural University; and core members of each research team.
During the meeting, Professor Yi Hongmei provided a concise overview of the project’s objectives, tasks, and implementation plan, and outlined the expected outcomes and requirements for execution. Subsequently, staff from the Rural Revitalization Monitoring Center delivered an in-depth presentation on the monitoring data related to rural revitalization. Each sub-project leader also introduced their respective research plans. After extensive discussions and exchanges, the meeting concluded by determining the key tasks and task allocation for the major social science projects in 2024.
